Mother's Day Weekend

Mother's day weekend was a lot of fun. Conner and his friend went fishing at Grantsville Reservoir, they spent 3 hours there, and got a couple of bites. I stayed in the car, relaxing, sleeping, reading, etc. I finally took them home and about 10 minutes later Steve Jr. and Conner went back to the reservoir for a few more hours. Steve caught a couple of fish and Conner had a great time skipping rocks.
Big Steve had an amazing Saturday. He went for a horseback ride to "Mormon Cave". There was a group of riders who went. It's located in the Oquirrh Mountains, at the point of the mountain, right above Lake Point. It's a large cave that looks man-made, and there are some names carved into the rock with dates around 1850. He really enjoyed the ride, and I think he wants to take Kaylea up there on a ride in a couple of weeks. Steve was also invited to the Jazz/Laker's game that evening. I guess it was a real nail biter. It came down to the last minute and the Jazz lost by 1 point. Steve had a great time with his friend Paul who has season tickets. He took some videos while he was there, but the kids say they're a little bit freaky, so I won't post them.

Mother's Day was really nice. Conner had been asked to speak in church, he did a really great job, I was so proud of him. Jessica and Chris came and spent the day with us, they came before church with a gift that they went in on with Steve. I was so excited. I've wanted a mother's ring for such a long time. Kaylea got me a necklace and earrings that were adorable, and Conner made me a clay cup that holds pens by the phone. It's really nice. Steve jr says his gift is in the mail. I felt so spoiled! We barbecued steaks with a gazillion mushrooms! It was yummy!

Chris' birthday was the day after, so Steve gave him this cool shirt that he got at the Jazz game. I could tell he was really impressed!! He and Jessica seem to be doing really well, I'm sure glad Chris decided to join our family, we're blessed to have him.
That's my weekend in a nutshell. I'm so proud of my family, I couldn't be happier. Thanks for a great mother's day!
