Look at what I found in the newspaper today! Kaylea ran at the State cross country meet on Wednesday. She did really well; again came in second place for Stansbury high school, but very happy with her time. Now Kaylea is off to Las Vegas for the Ragnar Relay with Jessica, and other family members. We have a team called "The Dickson Scrubs". My grandma used to call us "scrub" when we were younger. The team consists of Grandma and Grandpa's grandchildren and great grandchildren. I wish I could run along with them, but I'll be in the hospital all day Friday.
Steve has been working really hard to get ready to leave on his mission on December 8th. We took him in for a dentist appointment and we were told that Steve has only one wisdom tooth, but it needed to be removed. Today was the day.
He was halarious when he was coming out of the anesthesia. He kept trying to stand up and leave, he was chewing on the gauze like bubble gum, and the nurse finally had to take it out of his mouth because she was afraid he would chew his tongue. Normally Steve is really reserved, and polite. I don't think I've seen him so lively and obnoxious EVER! He kept saying "I'd be a really bad drunk!" The doctor tried to come and talk with us, and every time he would start talking, Steve would crack a joke really loud, or interrupt whoever was talking. Wow, that was not what I was expecting!!
