Independence day

Conner went to G&G Wright's house in Washington, and came back a totally different person. He gained 10 pounds in 2 weeks, and has MAN arms now. He did a lot of logging, and landscaping for grandma and grandpa. He went fishing, clam digging, kayaking, they took him to Canada, and downtown Seattle. He came back so happy, and so talkative. He also informed us that he doesn't want to play football at all this year. That doesn't break my heart.

The 4th of July was kind of different this year. It fell in the middle of the week, so not very many people went out of town or anything. Jess and Chris wanted to stay in Provo, Conner was in Washington, and Kaylea came to Grantsville, but hung out mostly with her boyfriend, Tyler. We watched the parade at Erin's, she didn't even have a lot of visitors like she usually does. Then we went to G&G Collings for a barbecue. It was just a quiet, mellow day. We decided when we got back to Grantsville, that since it was just Steve and I, we'd try to watch the fireworks from our front yard. We didn't dare to last year, we thought other houses or trees would be in the way. Well, we were so WRONG!!! The view from our front yard was AMAZING! I don't think we'll ever go to the park for fireworks again, they were so close, and such a perfect view.
