We had such a nice easter season this year. It started last week with Steve's family. We had an Easter/Birthday party. We celebrated 5 birthdays, had an easter egg hunt, and had a nice dinner. It was so nice to get together with everybody, I think it's been months since we've seen Steve's family. Unfortunately, there were several other things going on at the same time so it was only Conner and I who went.
Kaylea had an invitational track meet in Delta, dad was there supporting her. She ran the mile and the 800M. She placed second in both events. Yay Kaylea!!
Stephen and Jessica both had to work, and ended up coming home late Saturday night.
Conner got to spend a few days with Uncle Adam and Aunt Caitlyn, and with Uncle John and Aunt Molly. He was spoiled rotten. He went flowboarding twice, and saw two movies, and especially had fun hanging out with his cousins.
This past week was spring break. You'd think with 3 teenagers we'd have some huge trip planned or something, but this year I decided spring break would be a great time to have Kaylea's wisdom teeth removed. Then she would have a few days to recover without missing any school. She decided having your wisdom teeth out is not that great, and ended up in bed for most of spring break.
On Saturday my family had an Easter party/dinner. We were invited to my sister Tera's in-law's house. It was really nice because all of my Utah brothers and sisters were there. Again, it was just me and Conner. Same reason as last week with work, but then dad stayed home with Kaylea because she wasn't feeling well...wisdom teeth. Tera's family was so sweet, and really made us feel welcome. It was nice to just spend time talking with everyone.
On Easter morning, the easter bunny came!! This is the first time in 7 years, believe me it was extremely simple, but everyone had a fun time finding their easter baskets (okay, paper sacks!). We enjoyed having dad at home all day, no meetings were planned for Easter...yay! We played games, and had a nice dinner together.
Happy Easter everyone!
